Your challenges

Your industrial challenges
Many industrial organizations face significant risks associated with PFAS contamination:
- Increasing regulatory requirements and permits restrictions
- Rising treatment and disposal costs
- Reputational risk and stakeholder pressure
- Legal liabilities under the polluter-pays principle
- Production interruptions caused by non-compliance
Your municipality and utility challenges
Municipalities and water utilities must ensure safe drinking water while maintaining public trust:
- Compliance with tightening PFAS regulations in drinking water, including implementation of the revised EU Drinking Water Directive by 2026
- Monitoring and management of PFAS in drinking water, source water and wastewater systems
- Responsible for public health and maintaining user trust to consume and treat the water
- Upgrading existing treatment infrastructure
- Managing increasing public and media attention
- Controlling operational and capital investments
How can NSI meet your needs?
Most PFAS treatment solutions focus on removing PFAS from water and transferring them into another waste stream. The contamination is concentrated and separated, but the problem remains. Removing PFAS is not the same as destroying them.
But NSI PFAS Resolve follows a different approach.
PFAS Resolve is a modular treatment portfolio developed by Nijhuis Saur Industries that combines NSI’s advanced PFAS concentration technologies with on-site PFAS destruction powered by electraCLEAR™ from Axine Water Technologies, in one integrated solution.

Our solutions
Different PFAS compounds behave differently in treatment systems. PFAS Resolve combines complementary technologies that can address long-chain, short-chain and ultra-short-chain PFAS in a single integrated treatment strategy.
By combining Vacuum Foam Fractionation (PFAS Foam Frac), Carbon Adsorption & Ion Exchange, Membrane Technologies and Electrochemical Oxidation (PFAS Destruct: electraCLEAR™ by Axine Water Technologies), PFAS Resolve addresses the full spectrum of PFAS, from ultra-short and short-chain compounds to the most persistent long-chain PFAS.
- Vacuum Foam Fractionation (PFAS Foam Frac): Concentrates PFAS from large water volumes;
- Ion Exchange & Carbon adsorption: Removes residual short- and long-chain PFAS;
- Membrane technologies: Produces high-quality water and concentrates contaminants, RO can remove ultra-short chains;
- Electrochemical Oxidation (PFAS Destruct – electraCLEAR™ by Axine Water Technologies): Destroys long-, short- and ultra-short-chain PFAS (incl. TFA) in concentrated streams, on-site, at ambient temperature and pressure, with no secondary waste stream.

From concentration to destruction
Unlike conventional solutions that create concentrated PFAS waste requiring transport and disposal, PFAS Resolve creates a pathway toward permanent PFAS elimination. The result is a future-proof PFAS treatment strategy delivering:
- High removal efficiency
- Minimal residual waste
- Reduced operational costs
- Lowe environmental liability
- Long-term regulatory compliance
NSI is your PFAS removal & destruction partner within all the project life cycle steps.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
PFAS Resolve is designed to address the full spectrum of PFAS compounds, including long-chain, short-chain, and ultra-short-chain PFAS.
Because different PFAS compounds behave differently during treatment, NSI combines complementary technologies such as Vacuum Foam Fractionation, Ion Exchange, Carbon Adsorption, Membrane Technologies, and Electrochemical Oxidation (electraCLEAR™ by Axine Water Technologies). This allows us to tailor the treatment train to the specific PFAS profile and treatment objectives of each site
There is no one-size-fits-all PFAS solution.
The optimal treatment strategy depends on several factors, including PFAS composition, concentration levels, water matrix characteristics, discharge requirements, and waste management objectives.
NSI supports customers through laboratory testing, pilot studies, risk assessments, and technology evaluations to identify the most effective and cost-efficient treatment approach before full-scale implementation.
Yes. PFAS Resolve includes on-site destruction by Electrochemical Oxidation (electraCLEAR™ by Axine Water Technologies), which mineralizes PFAS into simple, stable end products such as gases, water and dissolved ions, rather than simply concentrating them. electraCLEAR™ has demonstrated 99.9–99.999% PFAS destruction, including ultra-short-chain TFA.
In many applications, PFAS are first concentrated into a smaller volume using technologies such as Vacuum Foam Fractionation or Ion Exchange. The concentrated stream can then be treated through PFAS destruction, eliminating the need for off-site disposal.
