Your challenges

Treating high-load industry wastewater

Industries such as food processing, oil refining, and manufacturing often generate wastewater with high concertation of fats, oils and greases, and suspended solids. These complex streams require robust treatment systems capable of handling variable loads without compromising performance.

Ensuring consistent separation efficiency

Fluctuating wastewater characteristics can reduce the effectiveness of conventional flotation systems. Maintaining high removal rates across diverse conditions is essential to meet discharge regulations and protect doenstream processes.

Reducing installation and maintenance

Conventional flotation systems often require significant on-site installation, extended commissioning, and ongoing manual optimization. These factors increase project timelines, operational complexity, and maintenance costs. Modern facilities need solutions that are easy to install, simple to operate, and designed for reliable, low maintenance performance.

How does it work - Our impact and customer benefits

Advanced flotation technology for superior separation

Designed for demanding industrial wastewater applications, the NSI GDF flotation units design combines advanced microbubble generation technology with efficient solid-liquid separation by flotation. The system effectively removes oils, grease, and suspended solids by floating lighter contaminants to the surface while allowing heavier particles to settle, delivering consistent performance under high solids load conditions.

Advanced aeration system

Each unit features an advanced aeration system that consistently generates microbubbles of air for high separation performance without operator intervention.

Robust sludge removal with high dry solids content

The GDF flotation unit design incorporates robust sludge collection and removal technology to optimize solids recovery and minimize sludge handling requirements. Surface scrapers (and bottom scraping options) combined with automatic discharge deliver consistent sludge concentration and seamless integration with downstream sludge processing systems.

Plug-and-play installation with minimal site work

The GDF solution of Nijhuis combines a modular design with pre-assembled components to minimize installation effort and accelerate project execution. Supplied with the pneumatic panel, aeration system, sediment removal valves, the system reduces on-site activities while ensuring fast commissioning and reliable integration into industrial wastewater treatment plants.
