Project Context and Challenges
Upgrading and integrating refinery operations
The Clean Fuel Project is one of Kuwait National Petroleum Company’s strategic mega-projects. Its objective is to upgrade and expand the Mina Abdulla and Mina Al-Ahmadi refineries, transforming them into one integrated complex that meets global market requirements.
Managing large-scale refinery wastewater treatment
The project required a new wastewater treatment plant capable of handling oily water, biological treatment, tertiary filtration, and spent caustic treatment, at a very large scale.
Meeting strict specifications and standards
The strict application of Company specifications and Shell DEP standards created significant technical and execution challenges, requiring proven experience and strong project management.
