Project's context and challenges

Essity produces and processes paper into tissue products such as toilet paper, paper towels and napkins. The company was searching for a replacement of their old anaerobic wastewater treatment plant but required fast deployment of the new installation. Econvert offered a smart and fast solution where the tank was prefab delivered via water. The installation has successfully been running since 2013.

Solution

Essity was searching for a replacement of their old anaerobic wastewater treatment plant, while requiring fast deployment of the new installation. To shorten the building process, Econvert delivered a partially prefabbed Econvert-UASB® reactor, which reduced the on-site installation time of the reactor and enabled fast deployment of the WWTP.
