Project's context and challenges

Eder & Heylands Brauerei is an independent family business that stands for artisanal brewing, high-quality branded beers, non-alcoholic beverages and offers customer-specific services. Due to high concentrations of COD in the wastewater, the brewery was paying a significant amount of discharge fees. To lower these fees Eder & Heylands Brauerei opted for anaerobic wastewater treatment. The brewery bought a used Econvert Anaerobic Rental installation in order to avoid high CAPEX investments.

Solution

In order to reduce their discharge costs, Eder & Heylands Brauerei opted to anaerobically treat their wastewater. To avoid high CAPEX investments, the brewery purchased a used Econvert Anaerobic Rental reactor. The Econvert Anaerobic Rental has significantly reduced Eder & Heylands’ discharge costs while also generating biogas, which is being reused in a boiler to save energy costs.
