Econvert-EGSB Anaerobic Wastewater treatment

Aviko, a leading global player in the potato processing industry, transforms potato into high-quality functional ingredients. Due to expansion of its production capacity, the company’s existing wastewater treatment plant couldn’t handle the increase in COD loads. To meet its sustainability goals, Aviko Rixona chose to implement anaerobic wastewater treatment combined with biogas desulfurization and biogas utilization.

Solution

To treat the additional COD loads after Aviko Rixona expanded its production capacity, Econvert designed and supplied an Econvert-EGSB®. The project was a turn-key project where Econvert supplied everything including civil works/foundations, all interconnecting piping, cabling and automation and all equipment, internals and tanks. To clean and re-use the produced biogas in the steam boiler, the Econvert-Dsulph® and an activated carbon filter were implemented.
