#WaterChampion spotlight: Chidambaram Chidambaram’s journey of growth and innovation

Chidambaram’s NSI story began even before day one. Inspired by a YouTube message from CEO Menno M. Holtermann, he initially applied for an internship in the Netherlands. Instead, a new opportunity arose within the design team in Poland, leading to his 2021 start as an AutoCAD/Revit Specialist. This marked the beginning of a path defined by curiosity, continuous learning, and trust.

While supporting quotation drawings for the NSI Benelux team, Chidambaram became increasingly fascinated by water and wastewater treatment technologies. This motivated a shift toward process engineering and, ultimately, to gaining hands‑on experience through service and commissioning work. These field experiences strengthened his technical skills, confidence, and ability to solve problems independently, one of the accomplishments he values most.

As an expat, Chidambaram found NSI’s culture welcoming and supportive. Collaboration across countries is seamless, with colleagues always ready to help. This spirit of unity fuels project success, including one of his proudest achievements: leading a major international food processing company research pilot (UF-RO Rental Container). This project combined expertise from multiple departments and now positions NSI strongly for a full‑scale project.

NSI’s influence extends beyond single projects. By transforming industrial wastewater challenges into sustainable, resource-conscious solutions and by partnering with advanced technology providers, NSI reinforces its role as a comprehensive, future‑focused solution provider. This role is exciting to Chidambaram and strengthens his confidence in NSI’s strategic direction.
