Marzia Chiesa, CEO of Sodai; “During the last 30 years Sodai has become one of the leading Italian environmental engineering and water management companies, mainly operating in the purification and treatment of industrial process and wastewater. Our company offers a range of integrated environmental services based on our specialized know-how and extensive experience combining Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) and O&M solutions, providing a unique value proposition to our clients optimizing their efficiency and reducing their environmental footprint.

Key references are; the design, build, operate and maintain contract for the largest zero liquid discharge wastewater treatment plant deriving from the production of second generation bioethanol at Versalis di Crescentino, which is operated 24 hours a day all year around. The asset management contracts for Trenitalia and Trenord which Sodai has operated since 2004 and the design and build of a desalination plant in Texas with a capacity of 40.000 m3/day for the production of potable and industrial water. Besides asset management we also successfully develop innovative technologies.

For example, blockchain to trace the waste supply chain, our Deepestâ technology, a unique and proprietary membrane solution applied in anaerobic digestion to separate mainly organic and nitrogen fertilizers, and our game-changing Titanium membranes which offer top-level performance and unique properties which are being successfully applied for example in the pharmaceutical industry.
