Your challenges
Removing fine solids for effluent polishing
Effluent polishing and water reuse require the effective removal of very fine suspended solids. Filtration systems must deliver consistent performance under varying loads.
Preventing clogging and overflow risks
As solids accumulate on filter media, clogging can occur, leading to rising water levels, process instability, and potential overflow situations. A robust design is essential to ensure safe and continuous operation.
Efficient operation with low energy and water consumption
Wastewater treatment plants aim to minimize operational costs. This requires filtration systems with low headloss, limited backwash water demand, and minimal energy consumption.
Upgrading existing installations
Many plants seek to improve filtration performance without major civil modifications. Retrofit-friendly solutions that reuse existing tanks and concrete structures are key.
Easy maintenance and long service life
Maintenance should be simple and fast, without the need to empty tanks or disassemble the entire unit. Durable materials and easy replacement of filter media reduce downtime and lifecycle costs.

How does it work?
The process
Water flows by gravity into the central drum and passes inside-out through filter panels on both sides of each disc. Solids are trapped inside; clean water flows out into the surrounding tank. Discs stay 65% submerged and remain still—until clogging raises the water level. Then, the backwash kicks in: discs rotate, solids are rinsed off with filtered water via easy-to-maintain nozzles, and discharged. Simple, smart, and self-cleaning.
Our positive impact
High efficiency washing system
The Disc Filter’s pleated media design offers quick release cleaning for efficient cycling without labor-intensive maintenance. This and other features improve the cleaning process while helping prevent media wear. The specially designed spray mechanism offers twice as many nozzles in a configuration that efficiently releases solids from the pleated media. The inherent simplicity of our configuration minimizes lifetime costs with fewer moving parts and lower energy demands for backwashing.
Replacing Discs
Each disc can be easily replaced in a matter of seconds, simply by loosening the locking screws. The panels can be easily and fast removed with no need of emptying the tank or disassemble the filter.
