Your challenges

Temporary loss of treatment capacity or system maintenance
Is your existing wastewater treatment plant nearing its capacity limits – or requiring maintenance? Econvert Anaerobic Rental reactors offer a flexible, sustainable and cost-effective solution to keep your operations running smoothly. Whether you’re dealing with planned maintenance or a temporary spike in production, Econvert Anaerobic Rental reactors help bridge the gap and maintain treatment performance without disruption.
No CAPEX budget for a full-scale plant
If your site needs a wastewater treatment plant due to the continuously changing discharge regulations or increasing discharge fees, but you lack the funds for a full-scale plant? Econvert Anaerobic Rental reactors don’t require high CAPEX investments, making them the perfect solution when you need a high-performance treatment system but lack the funds for a permanent installation.
Low or fluctuating COD loads
When your COD loads are too small for a full-scale installation, our Econvert Anaerobic Rental reactors are a perfect solution. Starting from loads as little as 300 kg COD/day, these units are a practical option for smaller or fluctuating wastewater streams.
Do you want to know more about how our innovative wastewater treatment and biogas desulfurization solutions can benefit your business?
The process
The Econvert Anaerobic Rental reactor uses anaerobic biomass (granular sludge) to convert organic components into biogas, consisting mainly of methane (CH4), carbon dioxide (CO2). At the top of the reactor the separation of water, sludge, and gas takes place. The Econvert Anaerobic Rental reactor is equipped with a recirculation of the effluent, which is mixed with the incoming wastewater (influent) in order to optimize the COD concentration in the reactor. The recirculation is carried out by a standpipe inside the reactor.
The Econvert-EGSB® Anaerobic Rental reactor has the ability to load the system up to 3200 kg COD/day. The Econvert-IR® Anaerobic Rental reactor has the ability to load the system up to 5000 kg COD/day

Key figures
"The rental IR reactor from Econvert really helped us from the first day of installation. It is impressive how quick the ramp up curve was after installation and the degradation is still very stable. "
